Albert Hall Museum - It was built in the year 1868 by Sawaj Ram Singh 11 and is built along the lines of the famous Victoria and Albert Museum in London. A wide array of portraits, paintings, brassware, woodwork, pottery, sculptures and carpets are on display here. Some of the finery that was worn in the form of ceremonial dresses of the royal families, are also displayed here. These take you back to the rich art and culture of the region of those times. There is also a green house, an aviary and a zoo on the premises to make it an entertaining visit while you are here.
Rambagh Palace - Known as the "Jewel of Jaipur", Rambagh Palace is the former residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and now a hotel, located 8.0 km outside the walls of the city of Jaipur on Bhawani Singh Road.
The first building on the site was a garden house built in 1835 for the wet nurse of prince Ram Singh II. In 1887, during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh, it was converted into a modest royal hunting lodge, as the house was located in the midst of a thick forest at that time. In the early 20th century, it was expanded into a palace to the designs of Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. Maharajah Sawai Man Singh II made Rambagh his principal residence and added a number of royal suites in 1931.
This splendid palace is veiled in hectares of manicured gardens, the hotel run by the luxury Taj Group brand has fantastic views across the immaculate lawns.
